PRESIDENT’S FORUM WITH BROR SAXBERG
Learning Engineering: The Art of Applying the Sciences of
Learning to Education
Bror Saxberg, Founder, LearningForge LLC
October 25, 2023
Alumni House
2–3 P.M. Talk
3–3:30 P.M. Reception
Please join President Mantella, Provost Fatma Mili, and Kara Van
Dam, Vice Provost for Graduate and Lifetime Learning for a
conversation with Bror Saxberg. We will dig into what we know about
learning and motivation from decades of research and share how
insights can guide new learning approaches. The biological basis of
learning and motivation work as they always have, even as technologies
(including AI) accelerate. We'll talk about how, as our understanding
of learning and motivation improves, we gain by seeking and iterating
compatible solutions from the technologies around us.
